HOW TO PACK FOR A FESTIVAL
Coachella Week 1 has wrapped, and with Week 2 just around the corner, festival season feels well and truly here. Our feeds have been bombarded with Sabrinawood and our IG saves are starting to stack up with the festival outfit inspo. Because let’s be honest… festival season is always marked in our calendars. Good tunes, good vibes and a little day drinking? We’ll be there.

And the style? It’s half the reason we go. Think Kate Moss at Glastonbury with a studded bag... Vanessa Hudgens in a flower crown and velvet kimono... The Hadid and Jenner Sisters strutting Coachella like it was a catwalk. For us, festival style has always had that perfect mix of bohemian soul and rock ‘n roll edge.
Trying to figure out what to bring (and what to leave behind) can feel like a bit of a nightmare. So we’re keeping it simple: pack smart, keep it light, and let the pieces you pack do the heavy lifting.
Because the lighter the case? The more room for drinks and dry shampoo.

START WITH THE RIGHT BASICS
When it comes to how to pack for a festival, it always starts with your base. Think pieces you already know you’ll feel good in... the kind you reach for without overthinking it.
Cut-off denim shorts, a black lace slip, an easy lace cami, a worn-in band tee. Add in a fringed or studded bag and you’ve already got the foundation of multiple outfits sorted.
The idea is simple: everything works with everything. Less thinking, more wearing.

layers make the look
One good layer can completely change the feel of an outfit, without needing to pack a whole new one. A floral kimono, a fringed jacket, an easy mini dress... Choose one statement piece per day and build around it. It’s that effortless, slightly undone styling that always works at festivals.

Shades & suede
Statement and oversized sunglasses are our festival HERO. Shades are an absolute must when you’re out braving the notoriously dreaded fesitval elements. Blinding desert sun and dust? Shades. Stormy Glasto feild and last nights mascara? Shades. We recommend a back up pair, or two.
Then there’s suede. A soft, slightly worn bag in suede or faux suede instantly pulls everything together. It’s one of those textures that just works at a festival. Our suede of choice for a festival must have fringe or studs... or both.

PACK LIGHT, DRESS EASY
If there’s one thing to remember when thinking about how to pack for a festival, it’s this: you don’t need as much as you think. The key to packing light is keeping it simple, building your festival wardrobe around badass basics you know you’ll live in. The kind of pieces that work with whatever you’ve got on. It’s about packing with intention too, choosing the things you actually love, the ones that make you feel like you without overthinking it.
Lean into the music, the style, the memories. Stay out a little longer - don’t miss the chance to twirl in a fringed kimono or belt out your favourite set with your friends. Festival season only comes around once a year, after all.
We wanna know, what headline sets are you looking forward to seeing this year?
Big Love,
Little Lies
