How to Get Stevie Nicks' Style this summer
If you’ve ever typed “Stevie Nicks style” or “how to dress like Stevie Nicks” into Google, you’re not alone.
Because when it comes to icons, she’s kind of the blueprint.
From her days with Fleetwood Mac to now, Stevie has always had a point of view. One that’s never really wavered.
Even recently, turning up to the Met Gala in Galliano, still very much in her signature look (top hat included), it’s clear her style was never about trends. It’s about knowing what works for you, and staying true to it.

Stevie’s look came from a practical place. She’s petite, and wanted pieces that would feel bigger on stage... silhouettes that moved, fabrics that caught the light, details you could still see from the back row; it was about presence.
Although her style was designed to stand out on stage, it doesnt mean it has to stay there. It’s about taking those dramatic elements and bringing them into your everyday in a way that feels easy. Less ‘Stevie Nicks costume’, more just something you’d actually throw on.
THE STEVIE FORMULA:
If you break it down, her style is actually pretty simple. Texture does the work; chiffon, lace, velvet, devoré. Soft layers that look a little bit undone. Add in some beading, a bit of fringe, something that moves - it’s never flat.
Stevie’s always choosing silhouettes that are meant for the mainstage... Bell sleeves, batwing shapes, flared hems, long kimonos. Everything feels like it could catch the wind (or at least a good spin moment).
For her off-duty style, she took elements from the stage and made them feel more lived-in. The same velvet, lace, and leather - just worn in a more pared back way. A lace blouse with denim, an easy velvet layer thrown over something simple, or a basic outfit made more Stevie with her signature shawls.

The trick to pulling off Stevie Nicks style in summer isn’t recreating it exactly- it’s taking the elements and making them your own.
Start simple;
Pick an easy boho dress with a bit of movement - something you can wear during the day and not think twice about. Pair it with boots, or sandals, whatever works.
Throw a kimono over literally anything. Denim, a slip dress, even just a tee and shorts. It does the work for you.
Or take one statement piece — a lace top, a fringed layer, something with texture — and wear it with your everyday denim. It balances it out without losing the feel.

What Stevie really gets right isn’t just the clothes, it’s the consistency. The confidence to keep wearing what she loves - whether that’s on a Fleetwood Mac stage during the Rumours era, or decades later.
She still reaches for the same kinds of pieces. The same textures, the same silhouettes.
...and that’s kind of the point!
Real style isn’t about changing it up every season. It’s about finding pieces that feel like you, and wearing them on repeat.
So, take a note from Stevie - invest in the pieces you love. Find those future vintage treasures that you’ll keep coming back to, and love them til the end of time.
Big Love,
Little Lies
