A brand new silhouette for AW25, she’s the result of months of development, refinement, and inspiration drawn from our founder Jade’s own archive of vintage treasures.

The starting point for Brown Sugar is rooted deep in our history, in the wardrobe of Jade’s auntie, Eve Graham, who was famous for fronting the band The New Seekers. Eve’s gowns from red carpet events, Top of the Pops performances, and stage appearances have long been a well of inspiration for Little Lies. But one dress in particular has always stayed in Jade’s mind: a lustrous apricot-hued velvet gown originally designed for Eve to wear on the BBC. Floor-length and strappy, it was already a showstopper. But what made it unforgettable was what came next... Eve reworked the dress following the performance, transforming the hem into a flowing cape-sleeved midi she could wear off-stage. That dramatic cape silhouette; unapologetic, glamorous, endlessly bohemian, has been etched in Jade’s memory ever since.

When it came time to create Brown Sugar, the cape sleeve had to be the moment. But instead of velvet, we leaned into the earthy richness of Autumn. Cut from chocolate-brown chiffon with subtle gold metallic jacquard accents, the fabric itself feels alive, shimmering with movement, echoing the leaf-like textures of the season. The rippling cape sleeve and sheer draped hem make the dress move with its own rhythm, creating that same kind of stage-ready magic you see in the icons who inspire us most: Stevie Nicks, draped in chiffon and mystery, or Florence Welch, letting her cape billow as though it has its own soundtrack.

Brown Sugar is more than just a new addition to AW25. It’s a love letter to the women who’ve inspired us — from Eve to Stevie, vintage stagewear, and to the kind of pieces that make you feel like you’re stepping into your own spotlight.
